59/365: sneak peek

Finally, two months after they were supposed to be finished, the hallway floors were sanded and stained.

58/365: kid funny of the day

Owen's vocabulary never ceases to amaze me. This morning, he got out the pancake mix, turned to the directions and said "I'm going to look at this manual." Maybe I'm biased, but that seems like an unusual thing for a 4-year old to say!

56/365: afternoon snack with Dad

The kids love to go downtown and have lunch with Dad. Today, we only had time for an afternoon snack. Devon has a coffee shop in the lobby. The kids love their gelato.

55/365: snooze in the wrap

I decided to bring the wrap back out to see if I could figure out a hip carry with it. It came in handy for a little siesta.

53/365: finally, a food she loves

Beet, banana, blueberry. Sounds yummy, right? It's the first food I've found where she will actually open her mouth more than once.

52/365: modern day tooth fairy

No longer does the tooth fairy just leave money. Nowadays, the kids decorate a jar and put their teeth in water. The tooth fairy then fishes the teeth out, colors the water, puts her fairy dust in it and leaves dollar coins in place of the teeth. At least around these parts. Geesh.

Sweet boy

Me: "Owen, you are always such a happy boy!"

Owen: "'cause we get to kiss each other!"

47/365: Bath time

Hadley doesn't like to take a bath. Or, more succinctly, she doesn't like to lay down in the bathtub. She discovered it's actually fun to play with the water. Until she accidentally stuck her head under.

46/365: the home body

Owen's favorite thing to wear is his PJs. If given the choice, he'd rather stay home most days than go out. He's a bit of a home body.

While I was putting all the kids' things in their bedrooms, I came across Gabe's old robe, size 4. He got some Cars slippers from Grammy for Christmas to complete his ensemble.

45/365: (not so) Happy Valentine's Day

My poor sick girl and the valentine/get-well-soon card her big brother made for her to read when she wakes up. Took her to the urgent care clinic and the strep test turned positive almost immediately. No wonder she was miserable all night long. Here's to hoping a dose of medicine and a nap will have her back to her ornery self soon.

44/365: sneak peak - new windows

We finally got the new windows installed upstairs. We only ordered them 3 months ago. They were supposed up be in before Christmas and now it's Valentines Day. Such is remodeling. Now they just need to be stained.

Reese had her own little cheerleader.

39/365: bowling fun

Dad took the kids out for a treat on his day off.

Food #2

Not a fan of green beans. We'll try it again tomorrow night.

36/365: sleeping beauty

I know the quality isn't great, but I couldn't resist trying to capture this innocence.

35/365: magic sheets

Owen slept in his OWN bed ALL NIGHT LONG last night. AND, he made his bed, WITHOUT BEING ASKED!!! Wow, that was a lot of caps. Can you tell I'm excited? Maybe these Spider-Man sheets have super powers after all.

33/365: just because

I finally got all of the kids' clothes moved into their individual closets. Reese is wearing things she's never worn before. Probably because their clothes were so crammed into one closet she couldn't find them. Love these two.
